Kouchibougac National Park is an hour away with over 60 km or 37.5 miles of cycling paths for hikers and cyclist, canoeing, kayaking, bird watching, sand dunes and beaches, as well as cross country skiing, snowshoeing and tobogganing in winter.  This National Park established in 1969 protects the habitat of the many species of plants and wildlife along the shores of the Kouchibouguac River and waters of the Northumberland Strait.

Getting here is easy. From Chatham on New Brunswick HWY 11 cross the Centennial Bridge over the Miramichi River. Take exit 179 for King George Highway West through Miramichi to Newcastle Boulevard North to Highway 430 North. Follow Highway 430 another 10 minutes North (16.3 kilometers) to Hilltop Road on your left. Follow Hilltop Road for about 5 minutes (5.6 kilometers) to your land on the right. The land is immediately after an old red homestead and rustic barn.
